GRANDVILLE AYSO PRACTICE GUIDELINES SPRING 2021 (8U - 14U)
(revision: 04/13/21 - Guidelines subject to change at any time)

NOTE: 5U and 6U practice and play on the same day! Refer to game day guidelines for these divisions.
 
Parents/spectators are to remain away from the practice fields as much as possible.  You are allowed at the schools. If there is a need to remain near the fields, masks are required.
 
Players and coaches are required to wear facemasks at practice.  If you have 6ft of separation between others you can pull the mask down for a ‘mask break’.
 
Prior, during, and following a practice, there will be no handshakes, high fives, or other unnecessary contact.
 
Before and end of practice all players will sanitize their hands.  (Coaches will have sanitizer bottle)
 
Players need to bring their own water bottles and soccer balls. Shinguards required for practice.
 
10U and above Goalkeeping:  You should have 2 pairs of keeper gloves and shirts in your coach bag.  Please wash after each practice. If you need more please contact Grandville AYSO at [email protected]  
 
Players and coaches should vacate the field as soon as reasonably possible after the conclusion of their practice to minimize unnecessary contact with players and coaches from the next practice. 
All players and coaches are to refrain from spitting at all times, including at the schools and on the playing field.
 
Healthy participants only!  Players and coaches are required to stay home if not feeling well.  Temperature checks required for 8U and above. 5U and 6U will take attendance.
 
Notify your coach if your child has a documented case of COVID-19, becomes sick with COVID-19 symptoms, or has been exposed to someone with COVD-19 symptoms or a confirmed case of COVID-19. The coach will contact our Child Volunteer Protection Advocate at [email protected]
 
No animals allowed on or around AYSO fields during practice.   
 
No jewelry is to be worn during practice including earrings, rings, necklaces, and bracelets.  Soft hair ties only.  Medical ID bracelets or devices are allowed.

GRANDVILLE AYSO GAME DAY GUIDELINES SPRING 2021
(4.28.21 revision)

  • SPECTATORS -  No more than FOUR (4) spectators per player are allowed at a game in order to limit the amount of people at the fields. Youths accompanying any adults are allowed. Please do not leave children attended. Youths (from other divisions that are playing in the game or small children in general) shall remain on the sideline with you and/or your group during the game.
  • MASKS - Coaches and spectators are required to wear masks while at Grandville AYSO events.
  • Coaches and players 8U divisions and older are required to wear masks when on the field of play. Players in 5U and 6U divisions are not required but are encouraged to wear a mask.
  • Teams will stay on their side of the field, mask on. Spectators are on the opposite side of the field.
  • Referees are not required to wear masks while officiating the game. They are to wear a mask while walking to the field. Once on the field, they may remove the mask. Please stand at least 6 feet away from coaches and players while delivering opening remarks and check-in players.
  • 5U - Playground: Only one parent per player is allowed to participate if needed. The division coaches will divide the group into smaller groups.
  • 6U-8U Divisions: Players, coaches and spectators may proceed to fields no earlier than 15 minutes prior to their scheduled start time.
  • 10U-14U Divisions: Players, coaches and spectators may proceed to fields no earlier than 15 minutes prior to their scheduled start time.
  • Substitute players at games must stay socially distanced on their team’s sideline. 
  • Prior, during and after a game, there will be no handshakes, high fives or other unnecessary contact. Contact within the team is minimized.
  • Before and at the end of games, all players will sanitize their hands. Coaches will have hand sanitizer.
  • Players are to bring their own water bottles and soccer ball.
  • 10U-14U Goalkeeping: Each team will have two (2) keeper shirts and two (2) sets of keeper gloves. Goalkeeper shirts/gloves will be washed and sanitized by the coach. If a player brings their own shirt and gloves, there is no sharing.
  • Games are spaced out to allow the previous game participants to clear off the field before the next game starts. Players and families should vacate the field as soon as reasonably possible after their game to minimize contact from the next game participants. Ideally off the field within 10 minutes.
  • Snacks are not allowed for Spring 2021. Please bring a snack for your player if they need one.
  • No animals allowed on or around AYSO fields during games.
